NSF NOIRLab Overview NSF NOIRLab is the US national center for ground-based, nighttime optical and infrared astronomy. It operates world-class astronomical observatories located in Hawaii, Arizona, and Chile, and is responsible for major scientific programs such as the Gemini Observatory, the Kitt Peak National Observatory (KPNO), and the Vera C. Rubin Observatory.

Helix's Contribution In partnership with Enciso Systems, Helix established itself as one of the primary development teams responsible for the NOIRLab website. During their tenure, the team undertook new projects within the portal, including the '88 Constellations Project' and the 'US-ELTP' mini-site. Furthermore, Helix ensured optimal stability and performance for the portal's hundreds of thousands of global visitors, and prepared the site to seamlessly integrate and showcase the stunning 3.2-gigapixel images from the new Vera C. Rubin Observatory.
